What I’ve Done, You Do

Occasionally I receive commissions from people who have either been admirers of my work for some time or are new to what I’ve been doing. This commission came from Canada with the only criteria that it be 9’ wide. Typically I would do a series of grey colors, some shades of black, followed by one or two small hits of bright color, but for some reason I was drawn to earth tones for this one. Colors I wouldn’t typically touch on a normal day. The orange and green tones looks so good next to each other, and I was surprised how much I liked the orange and green next to one another. I took a chance working with colors I wouldn’t normally use but I’m happy with the result.
