Ascendance Series
On April 14th, 2016, Scream Exhibitions gallery in London opened Exceptional, a group show featuring new work by Augustine Kofie (USA), Zanny Mellor (UK), Martina Merlini (ITALY), Steve More (UK), Charley Peters (UK), Livvy Tyler (UK), and myself.
Below is the work I submitted for the show and some images of the work hung with my peers work. Each piece is 2" thick Russian Birch, and my line work has been CNC'd out of the layers of wood, creating a torn landscape. My initial plan was to paint over the pieces but the more I looked at them the more I fell for the raw beauty of them.
