After almost a year of design concept ideas, build site progress photos, and fabrication, the LAFC Team Store I worked on finally opened it’s doors on opening day at the LAFC Team Store at Banc of California stadium. I worked closely with Darin Dougherty, Curtis Maddox, and Daniel Webb to design something unique and on brand for LA’s new soccer team.

The LA Dodgers Director of Merchandising and Retail, Allister Annear, contacted ENGIN Creative to help with a refresh of the Dodgers retail environment at the famous Dodgers stadium, specifically for their new line of casual Dodgers gear. Having worked with Allister previously on the LAFC team store at the new Banc of California stadium I knew that we could push the limit a little bit and have some fun with the design. With some creative direction from Curtis Maddox, and lots of assistance from Amanda Noviello in LA getting everything installed, the Allister and the Dodgers were stoked with the finished look. Looking forward to the next one, Allister!

I spent months working on this store design with help from the team at Jordan HQ, and from the hard working project managers at SET. It's the first store I've designed where I had a hand in everything, from top to bottom. At times it was overwhelming, and a bit scary, but once it all started coming together I could feel the energy in the space. My only regret is I had moved on from SET just before the store had it's grand opening so I didn't get the chance to see it in person.

Brought in late to the project, I needed to design the DNA wall for Nike Basketball. Little room to work with, the design had to be different.

Jordan Brand recently opened a store in Dubai and used a lot of the store concept designs I did for Global Retail Design last year.

Jordan Brand did a large takeover of the Palais de Tokyo museum in Paris. One of the more challenging projects I've worked on, the overall consumer experience proved to be a well-liked one.

Every year Jordan Brand does something big for All Star Week, and 2016 was no exception. Taking over an old retail location that resembled an out of date disco club, we gutted the entire space and celebrated the exposed concrete and beams. With retail on the main floor and customization on the lower level, Canadian consumers were invited to experience the Jordan Brand for the first time on home soil. Lots of pro appearances, lots of DJ's, lots of smiling faces.

I worked closely with global retail design for Jordan Brand, designing what the future of Jordan retail could look like. That concept was first introduced for Jordan Brand's flagship location in Hong Kong.

The July 2014 Pop-In shop at Nordstrom was a branded partnership with LA stationery boutique POKETO. Using their already recognizable aesthetic, I designed a shop that introduced the Nordstrom customer to the brand while holding true to the POKETO lifestyle.

One of my first Pop-In shop designs for Nordstrom was the Surf City shop for May of 2014. The merchandise was centered around summer board sports... surfing and skateboarding and all things related. Taking cues from surf and skate magazines, and board sport inspired artwork, I created a shop that was fun yet casual. The window concept is based on the Dazzle camouflage that was used on war ships in WW1, and to a lesser extent in WW2.
